Sorry man as stated before we aren't trying to build any hype this early in development. There is so far ahead of us of development to go and hyping the game this early back fires after the long wait.

Not to sound like an asshole or anything, but isn't putting up the teaser thread a form of early hyping? If there hasn't been any news on development (at least somewhat regularly - there hasn't been any update since before the new year ran by), I'd say you guys are a little too late on the precautions against overhyping.

I've held my tongue on this for a long time because I know that real life takes precedence over this, especially for you guys in college, but it seems to me that this place has been a ghost town for way too long. Suggestions were made, yes, and you agreed on a lot of them, but after that, nothing happened.

I guess what I'm trying to say is.. I'm a little disappointed. I could see this can go big, but it's nearing one year since this.. community/game/whateveryouwanttocallit has been created, and there doesn't seem to be much progress.

Really sorry if this offends any of you, but I feel like I had to voice my opinion.

That's the point when we realized the mistakes of over hyping. We made a huge mistake putting out a teaser thread and putting together a community this early in development. We messed up there and are not trying to push ourselves any deeper by continuing with it until we are far enough into development.

I love joining small game forums just for the community and the ability to talk to developers. Joining a large forum with a few hundred thousand members is quite... intimidating.
