Today we bring news about a feature in Drackarre. It has a nice example of our sandbox aspect where every decision is made by the player and can be done as they wish.

Certain territories of the world can be fought over by players and guilds. These areas are always player vs. player. The territory must be claimed by controlling the main tower in the middle of the territory. The winning players or guilds control the territory until the next battle is waged by other invading players or guilds. The territory gives bonuses in resources like different wood, fish, stones, herbs, etc. It’s not to say all these resources are special and can only be found on that specific territory, but it will be in larger quantities and not have the issue of sharing it with the public. The resources and the zone will have to be protected at all times. Invading players and guilds can sneak in at any time and steal resources if they aren’t being guarded by the controlling force. If players feel brave and powerful, they may directly attack the center of the territory to contest it for themselves. All these choices can be made freely. There is not only one way to decide how you want to gain these resources or the territory. You may go at it alone or attack with your guild. Many may even form treaties between guilds to fight for territory. In Drackarre, every choice is made by you.

There are many perks to controlling the territory besides the resources. You have to stay tuned and wait for our next release on Contesting Territories.

Hope you are ready for some teasing because we have 2 images for you today. These are only teaser shots of the graphics using the beta game engine. This is why there is no mapping of the environment itself because all of that will be done on the final release. We just wanted to show the community what type of graphics to expect. Don’t worry if you are on a lower end system though because we will suit your needs also.

Remember again this is only the beta engine and not the finished version that we will be using.

Drackarre – Medieval Massively Multiplayer Online Game

Today we wanted to give a little bit of news for what Drackarre is all about. We thought we would focus on two of the most important parts of Drackarre people are wondering about: Our cost for the game when it’s released and what sandbox truly is. Hope it gets your mouths water.

Sandbox- Like playing in a sandbox where you can do anything you want.

No skill restrictions. Can do any skill you want. Will not be where you can only use active skills and change between what’s active. Can use any skill at any time.

No classes. Anyone can use any weapons, armor, etc. as long as they have the skills for it.

We have many great plans we have been working hard on to balance the sandbox feature.

Costs

Free to play

Will not be like a demo. Constant updates and changes. Full working game that everyone will enjoy and not think as half a game.

$5 per month

Gives much more for those that decide to upgrade. More skills, opens up new areas, more quests, lots more items, and much, much more.

Cash Shop(Micro-Transactions)

In no way do we plan to make a cash shop. Our developers hate them and feel they unbalance games so much for members who don’t use them against those that do.

Welcome. Bungaboo is a company developing a new mmo sandbox game called Drackarre. The game is being created in the new Torque 3D game engine.

We are strongly focusing on the medieval sandbox aspect of Drackarre. All the developers are huge fans of medieval games and we all love games that give you the freedom to do what you want. In Drackarre, you won’t be bound by any class and can choose what you want to do without any restrictions. Think of all those games that force you to craft only certain objects or only use weapons based on your class. Well you will not have to worry about that here. If you want to craft, than you may skill up your crafting and make what you want. If you want to use bows or use swords, take your choice it will not matter. If you want to do them all, you are free to do so and we hope you do. Every skill will be open to every person without any restrictions. Drackarre will be what everyone always wanted.

We will be updating a lot more news as our development continues to grow. Also much more on the game play itself and our sandbox element will be coming out.

*Update* The forums are now open for registration. Join the community and start posting!
